Agile Delivery Manager

The Agile Delivery Manager leverages agile, scaled agile, Kanban and traditional project management practices to support the delivery of a technology initiative. The Agile Delivery Manager will help the business and technology teams align on delivery and drives the removal of impediments that are impacting the team’s delivery objectives. The Agile Delivery Manager will instruct and coach the teams to follow an effective and efficient process that will allow the team to become self-sufficient.

 

What will you do?

Initiative Delivery

Facilitate high complexity or multiple medium to low complexity initiatives from initiation through release, provide oversight to ensure alignment with Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices including, but not limited to project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning

Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders’ needs and expectations

Manage risk governance processes, operational planning, data steward engagement and vendor onboarding.

 

Team Activity Facilitation

Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, team problem-solving and the development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges; authority to execute against new approaches and escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary
Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability of results and solving productivity issues; includes defining and tracking key team performance metrics to reinforce expected behaviors (velocity, unit test coverage, etc.) and continued improvement
Engage in and facilitate requirements, user experience and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence

 

Cross Function Communication

Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes, report team progress and accomplishments up and across the organization
Facilitate cross functional communication by written status updates, sprint/product demos and retrospectives

 

Coaching

Provide proactive coaching to individuals (business and technology) and the team. Recommend continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity and drive the team to become self-organizing and self-improving in their delivery practices

 

Must Have’s:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Certified Scrum Master/Agile practitioner
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Scrum Master – where Scrum principles, practices and theory were diligently applied
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and/or project management and/or business (system) analysis
