Position Title: Network Analyst – 6077
Duration: 12 months and possible extension
Note from Hiring Manager: This role will include support, building, coordinating, and implementing network and telecom systems across the enterprise. This includes working with the vendors in the planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all of our local and wide area network connections and systems. This person will also troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions. Job Description:
- Be accountable for technical aspects of IT solutions, developing complex solutions, and ensuring short-, medium- and long-term business relationships and client satisfaction
- Provide 3rd level support for network and telecom products and services for the enterprise
- Work with vendors to ensure that all customer Service level agreements are being maintained
- Provide 24/7 on call support for all Telecommunications & Network outages
- Direct and/or validate technological choices, and draw up overall and detailed architecture plans
- Assume responsibility for technical studies, and make recommendations for products and services covering overall client IT applications and networks
- Keep abreast with advanced data technology used by the industry
- Evaluate costs and labour for network and telecom equipment; write/document the technical phase of proposals
- Interact with management and restaurant solution development teams
- Assume responsibility for solution development and integration with other specialized disciplines: network security, wireless network, IP telephony etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum five years of experience developing LAN/WAN and wireless solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCNP DC, CCDP are considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of layer 2 & 3 protocols including Spanning Tree, VLAN, OSPF, TCP/IP IPv4/IPv6, L2/L3, SNMP, network monitors and protocol analyzers
- Knowledge of standard network protocols: wiring standards, IP and Ethernet technologies, EIGRP, BGP and MPLS protocols, service quality parameters, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of large scale LAN/ WAN technologies (switches, routers, wireless and firewalls) with specific knowledge on BGP and MPLS networking
- In depth understanding of designing and managing network infrastructure
- Specialist in LAN/WAN and wireless products and services
- Ability to design internetworking solutions and conduct lab tests
