NOTE FROM THE HIRING MANAGER:

We are looking for an Analyst for Digital & Infrastructure projects and want someone who has a good experience with “Mobile App”. Also, some experience with backend applications and network configuration such as Purchasing, Inventory movement, Forecasting, switch and port mapping Primarily, they will be writing and executing test cases.

Looking for someone who is a self-starter, well organized, and has QA retail experience. The engagement is expected to last for at least 4-6 months, perhaps a bit longer. You are a Quality Analyst SME in the area of POS and the industry of Retail. You will be responsible for the execution of testing for technology to be implemented at various retail outlets across Canada. The QA Analyst will test the movement of the product through the back office tool, which includes; Purchasing, Inventory control, Materials Management, and Forecasting. This is to ensure that the product delivered is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including compliance, quality standards and customer expectations.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Works with the Business Analyst to understand the business requirements Develops and executes test cases Executes System Integration, regression and performance Testing Knowledge of the following areas is an asset: Quality Assurance methodology and standards Mobile Payment testing for Smartphones and tablets Retail Point of Sale and transaction-based systems Labor scheduling and payroll applications Web-based applications Back office sales, inventory and monthly reporting systems

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

Undergraduate / Graduate degree in Information Technology or Engineering.

3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience within an Enterprise Environment

Excellent verbal and presentation skills

QA exp. within a POS Retail environment highly preferred OR POS Banking

Experience with Payment testing for Smartphones and tablets Preference

Exposure to QA testing in SUPPLY CHAIN, RETAIL, FINANCE modules

FOLLOW WATERFALL & AGILE Methodologies

Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and best practices
